In Memoriam of Br. Kevin Stanton, FSC

With deep sadness and heartfelt reflection, Calvert Hall shares the news of the passing of Brother Kevin Stanton, FSC, on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
Brother Kevin’s legacy at Calvert Hall spans decades, beginning in the 1960s when he arrived as a dedicated educator, teaching Chemistry and Religion. Over the years, he touched countless lives through his many roles—as Director of Student Activities, Student Council Advisor, Chair of the Science Department, and later as Principal from 1996 to 2000. From 2000 to 2005, he faithfully led Calvert Hall as President, guided by his Lasallian values and deep love for the school community.

Beyond Calvert Hall, Brother Kevin also served with distinction as Auxiliary Visitor for the Legacy Baltimore Region, now known as the District of Eastern North America (DENA) of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. His leadership extended well beyond the classroom, shaping the future of Lasallian education throughout the region.

A visionary and a man of deep faith, Brother Kevin once said, “Calvert Hall needs to be more than just a great academic institution. Lasallian education focuses on the uniqueness of each person. We want the students to use their talents. Whether it's athletics, academics, or performing arts, those gifts are not accidental and can have an impact on the future." His words reflect the heart of the mission and the lasting imprint he leaves behind.
President Brother John Kane, FSC, shared, “Brother Kevin was a wonderful Brother who served in so many roles over his lifetime. He has had a profound impact on so many lives, including a great number in our own community. He will be missed deeply.”

As we remember Brother Kevin with love and gratitude, we ask that you keep him and the Brothers in your prayers. Funeral arrangements will be shared once they are finalized.
