A Commitment to Dignity

Preach by example, and practice before the eyes of the young what you wish them to accept. - St. John Baptist de La Salle Mediations 99.2
Calvert Hall College High School is committed to community safety, dignity, and well-being. We emphasize the importance of maintaining a safe environment for all students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Calvert Hall's Mission

Calvert Hall College, a Lasallian Catholic college preparatory school, prepares a diverse community of young men to achieve their full potential utilizing their unique talents. Through excellent academic and extracurricular programs led by innovative and dedicated educators, our students become confident men with the ethical foundation for service, independent thinking, and responsible leadership. Inspired by the faith and zeal of St. John Baptist de LaSalle, our students develop a respect for others as part of an inclusive, lifelong Calvert Hall brotherhood as Men of Intellect, Men of Faith and Men of Integrity.

Student & Employee Handbooks

Calvert Hall has student specific and employee specific handbooks regarding appropriate community standards as well as reporting procedures.

Employee Safeguards

Prior to employment at Calvert Hall, employees must successfully complete a background check including fingerprinting.

Employees must be trained in “VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children,” sponsored by the AOB. A certificate of completion of VIRTUS is kept on file in the main office. It is the responsibility of the employee to update their training in VIRTUS as per the guidelines set forth by the AOB. Additionally, all employees are ALICE trained, a research-based active shooter response program that empowers faculty and staff to respond and protect in the face of violence.

Student Safeguards

All 9th grade and incoming transfer students complete STAND training, a mandatory Archdiocese of Baltimore (AOB) requirement, for all working or volunteering with youth and children.

Additionally, all students complete ALICE training, a research-based active shooter response program that empowers students to respond in the face of violence.
At Calvert Hall, students and employees of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, are given the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all at the school.
