The Varsity football team was victorious in the season opener, defeating visiting Silver Oak 45-0. Anthony Anderson recovered a fumble for a touchdown and Pierce Robinson scored an electrifying 99 yard interception return for a touchdown to pace the defense. Brandon Reynolds kicked a 30 yard field goal and Chris Cottone was a perfect 6 for 6 on extra points to carry the special teams. On offense the Cardinal ground game churned out 4 touchdowns as Sean Tucker, Caleb Biggers, Ethan McCarthy, and Mike Campbell all scored on the ground.
