Educational Plans & Progress Assessment
An individualized educational plan is developed yearly to detail each student’s program. It includes the student’s strengths and weaknesses, long term goals, short term objectives and the accommodations that will be received in his other classes. While there are no course or content modifications made for La Salle students, they receive appropriate accommodations in instructional techniques and/or testing procedures, such as extra time on tests (up to time and a half), help with note taking and differential grading of in-class assignments (content vs. mechanics). Detailed narrative progress reports are written at the end of each semester. More frequent updates on student progress can be obtained through the student’s La Salle teacher or through Netclassroom. To further facilitate implementation of the student’s program, there is ongoing communication between his La Salle and classroom teachers.
