Calvert Hall Leadership Institute Name Change

The Leadership Institute, one of Calvert Hall College High School’s prestigious signature programs, has undergone a program name change. The program has been renamed to The Frank Bramble Sr. `66 Leadership Institute in memory of the school’s late Interim President and Board of Trustees Chair.
The program, founded in 2016, enables students to explore leaders whose careers span the spectrum of education, business, organization, community outreach, religious vocation, and military. Flexible and inclusive, this opportunity allows students to gain practical leadership skills, learn and grow. President, Br. John Kane, FSC, Ed.D, stated, “The Frank Bramble Sr. `66 Leadership Institute name change is a wonderful way to honor the memory of Frank. Anyone who knew Frank understood his love for Calvert Hall and his commitment to providing a high-quality Lasallian Catholic education to a diverse community of young men. This name change reflects the influential man he was and allows for his legacy to continue to impact the lives of others.”

A 1966 graduate of Calvert Hall, Frank was a veteran financial services executive with broad-ranging financial services experiences with national and international viewpoints. His career highlights include serving as the Chairman, President, and CEO of Allfirst Financial, Inc., MNC Financial, Inc., Maryland National Bank, American Security Bank, and Virginia Federal Savings Bank. He also served as the Executive Vice Chairman and an Advisor to the Executive Committee of MBNA Corporation during the merger with Bank of America. After the merger in 2006, he remained a part of the Bank of America Board of Directors. He was an emeritus member of the Board of Visitors of Towson University.

Calvert Hall strives to offer excellent academic and co-curricular programs while also developing a student’s faith life. The school’s mission calls for future leaders to use what they learn at Calvert Hall to better their community and the world. It also notes The Hall’s commitment to providing a “Christian education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership, achievement, and service within the Church and community.” Students completing The Frank Bramble Sr. `66 Leadership Institute are awarded a program certificate at graduation.
