January 25 - Day 0
Take a look at what Henry had to say about our travel day to Montana
We left Calvert Hall with Mr. Collins as our bus driver and headed over to the airport for our first flight. With plenty of time to spend, the group split up to get their own lunch and snacks. Everyone sat together towards the back of the plane and was spoiled by the luxuries of movie screens provided, comfortable seats, and plenty of space. Once we landed in Denver, we all sprinted off the plane, and ran through the entire airport to get to the other side where our next plane was departing from. Gavin Daley and I attempted to go get burgers with the 15 minutes we had to kill, but it led us to sprint back to our flight gate once again with our hands full of food, and Mr. Parisi’s Diet Coke. All ready to go, we found out that our flight would be initially delayed for 45 minutes, and then an additional delay to defrost the plane. Before taking off, Mr. McCormick challenged me not to be on any screen; not the screen on the back of the seat nor using my phone. I knew that the challenge wouldn’t be too hard, and I feel benefitted with how I was able to enjoy the time talking with the guys around me better. Exhausted, we headed into our rental cars in 3 groups. My group was with Marco, Mateo, and Mr. McCormick. With Mateo playing music in the background, we talked about personal topics and opinions. The best thing that I got out of our conversation was: “It’s good to be bored.” -Henry '26
