Science Teacher
CALVERT HALL IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A SCIENCE TEACHER
FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
We are seeking a science teacher for a full-time position who can teach a wide range of courses. Attention will be given to candidates with experience teaching Chemistry. Teaching load may include a mixture of biology, chemistry, physics, or upper-level elective courses.
In addition to teaching, there is a strong preference for someone who will be involved in our extensive co-curricular program, whether in athletics or activities.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in science or degree in education with a concentration in science
- A master's degree is preferred
- Teacher certification in a science content area
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of best practices, strong instructional strategies, and effective pedagogical techniques is essential
- Understanding of lab safety skills and laboratory procedures.
- Works well in a team-teaching environment
- Shares in presenting course material in a lecture format
- Develops and administers a balance of traditional and alternative assessments
- Maintains classroom environment, encouraging discussion and student engagement
- Provides support for our students both in the classroom and outside class time
COMPENSATION:
The salary for this position ranges from $44,500 to $70,000 annually and is commensurate with education and experience. This position is eligible for full-time benefits including personal and sick leave benefits.
